Supernaturally Transported

I have been Supernaturally Transported: During my first couple of months in Nepal, I was staying with my missionary friends in Kathmandu. One day my friend decided to stay in a hotel in the neighboring city of Patan for a small retreat. My friend then called me a few days later and asked me to come and join her; however, because I was still new in Nepal, she explained to me how to get there. She told me, "Dalia, take a taxi and pay him 300 rupees, ask him to take you to the Himalayan hotel in Patan. When you first enter the taxi, call me, so I know when to expect you." To understand the impact of this story, let me take a moment to paint the picture of the chaos that is going on in the streets of Nepal! Imagine wearing all your sweat, tons of dust, taxi windows that don't roll up OR down, no air con, unpaved roads with lots of holes and honking of horns is also a must at all times by any Nepali driver! In other words, one needs to wear a mask and ear plugs at all times just to survive! So now back to my story, I followed her directions exactly as she told me. I found a taxi, bartered for the proper price, got in the taxi, and the first thing I did, was call my friend, I told her, "I am on my way!" The taxi started his car, drove for a few minutes down a few side roads but he never went out, as he should have, onto the one main chaotic street that is the ONLY way to get out of town to Patan. Suddenly, the taxi driver stops and says, "Here we are." I said, "No, that cannot be!" For I knew that we needed to cross the city and that it would be a long way before we'd come to Patan. I knew that it needed to take at least an hour to drive especially since it was at rush hour time! But my taxi driver refused to move, he kept pointing to the hotel. So I finally looked and sure enough, it said, Himalayan hotel! I thought to myself, there must be two hotels with the same name, Himalayan hotel. But since my driver refused to move and the fact that he did not speak English, I finally got out of the taxi and refused to pay him. Since I had no choice, I went to the hotel door boy, and I asked him, "Excuse me, is this the Himalayan hotel in Patan?" "Yes," he said. I couldn't believe it, so I immediately called my friend back and I told her, "I am here." She said to me, "Dalia that is not possible, for you just left the house! I said, "I know but please come down to the reception and let's see if I am at the right hotel or not." So she finally came down and as soon as she saw me she shouted, "Dalia, God has just transported you!!!" At first, I did not know what she meant exactly, for how is that even possible? So I went back to my taxi driver that was still waiting since I had not paid him yet and paid him. I actually did not fully realize or really understand what had just happened to me, until we took the taxi ride back later that day and drove home. The FULL hour ride back through the noisy, dusty, hot nerving drive, made me realize that I had literally just been transported with the taxi! I was in complete shock and awe but what a MIGHTY GOD WE HAVE!!! He sure likes to impress his children and show off his power! I LOVE YOU MY JESUS!!! ..and He loves me too!
